410 Empanadas Restaurant & Food Truck

History

My husband and I started our food truck as a way to make extra cash to one day help pay for our twin boys college. We ordered  our trailer June 2017, started building that Sept and opened our window February 16, 2018. The first 6 months was terrible. We couldn’t sell our empanadas. Most people didn’t know what empanadas were and had no interest in trying. Slowly I was booking small local events, giving us more exposure. What we thought was mistake in building our food truck and draining our life savings was suddenly showing us it was in fact a good decision. Fast forward to 2023 with hundreds of food truck events under our belt, tens-of-thousands of empanadas sold, and many, many days in a box where the temps were anywhere from 10-115 degrees. We got the call that the spot on N Washington Street we waited 4 years for was now “available” I still wonder how I wasn’t pulled over for speeding, we drove so fast, to “sign on the dotted line” We signed the contract Oct 2023 and opened our first brick and mortar restaurant January 4, 2024. We operate both restaurant and food truck from our beautiful home away from home. We have been able to put our twins through 4 years of college as planned, all thanks to the incredible support we have had, and continue to have from our loyal and amazing customers. Despite the devastating financial impact we have all experienced end of 2024 through Aug 2025 with the revitalization project of downtown HdG, we are still all here, pushing through, and super excited to serve you all. Our menu has grown throughout the years and we constantly rotate items to keep it fresh while not touching our staple empanadas, that so many come to enjoy over the years. Our empanada recipes have remained EXACTLY the same as they were in 2018. If it’s not broke, don’t fix it, right?! Our restaurant and food truck is 100% family owned and operated. Our menu items are 100% hand made (except for a few fried sides). Come on by, give us a try…. promise you’ll love us! By the way, to date we have served over 28,000 hungry customers at both locations.
