Washington Street Father's Day Fest

Treat Dad to the best of downtown Havre de Grace. On Saturday, June 20th, Washington Street closes to traffic and opens to everything he loves — classic cars, cold beer, great food, a DJ keeping the street moving all afternoon, and Father's Day shopping with the whole family. No tickets, no admission. Just show up.

The Classic Car Show — 1 to 4 PM

The centerpiece of the day. Classic cars line the 100 block of N. Washington from 1 to 4 PM, with trophies awarded and all years welcome. Stroll the rows, talk shop with the owners, and vote with your camera roll.

The Beer Garden

Battery Island Brewery hosts an outdoor beer garden right on the street. Grab a local pour and find a spot in the sun.

Food Trucks on Pennington

Just around the corner on Pennington Avenue, adjoining Washington Street, two food trucks anchor the day: Das Bierhalle and Box Hill Pizza & Crab Cakes — yes, those crab cakes. Grab your plate and bring it back to the fest.

Outdoor Dining at Kooper's

Prefer a table? Kooper's Saloon extends its dining outdoors for the day, so you can sit down, order up, and watch the fest roll by.

The Golf Simulator

Kooper's Saloon sponsors a golf simulator on the street — take your swings and settle the family long-drive debate. (Paid activity; details at the tent.)

The Soundtrack

A DJ spins all afternoon, up and down the block — dad rock requests encouraged.

Father's Day Shopping

Downtown merchants bring their sidewalk sales out for the day, and street vendors join them up and down the block — handmade leather goods, custom fishing lures, metal art, and more. Skip the necktie; find him something he'll actually use.

Know Before You Go

The 100–200 block of N. Washington Street is fully closed to traffic for the day, with the fest running 12–6 PM. Street parking is available on surrounding blocks and in downtown public lots — arrive early for the closest spots. The event is free to attend; food, drinks, and the golf simulator are pay-as-you-go.
